These days “Green” seems to be an obsession with countless businesses and homes striving to reduce their carbon footprint. Green Homes are rated on the basis of HERS Index which is a scoring system established by RESNET (Residential Energy Services Network). A Home Energy Rating measures the energy efficiency of a home in United States and to earn the Energy Star, a home must meet the guidelines laid down by Environment Protection Agency for energy efficiency.
